It's a bar. Tucked away in a random alleyway this spot is cute for a date night if you've lined your stomach enough to binge drink as they don't serve food. I had: I'm Blue - 10/10 - very tropical and simple but did the trick. I'd order it again. My favorite part was writing on the walls lol. Other than that it's not much to write about. The service was great and the drinks were as well. I'd come back if someone was paying :o).
Love this cute speakeasy. They always have great service & yummy (strong) drinks! It's not a huge space but they do have a little spot in the back that is more lounge-y.
I LOVED the vibe of this place! A friend and I came after having dinner nearby, and for a Saturday night, though I snuck over before we wrapped things up just to make sure we weren't entering a crowd. I was surprised that it wasn't more crowded. I guess it's doing a great job of being hidden -- though I know many people know about it. I won't spoil the surprise too much about the entrance, so I'll skip that. The security guy once you get inside was one of the friendliest I have ever interacted with. He allowed me to walk through, and... I imagine the decor changes with every season, but I loved the beach vibe they had going. I loved the multiple options... we could be loungy under some umbrellas, sit at the bar, sit at some more traditional tables. So nice! The music all night was spot on... as were the vibes. It got busier as the night progressed, but nothing crazy. And the bartenders were incredibly friendly as well. I recommend the spot to anyone nearby. That whole alley is poppin! The drink prices are on par with other speakeasies, but I didn't see as many unique ones on the menu. There were a couple though! I found out that the ownership is shared with The Mirror, which happened to be my very first speakeasy in DC.
Such a cute underground speak easy bar! It's usually always pretty empty when I go so you get served immediately! The drinks are always super strong but gooodddd! I usually get the Moscow mule but can never finish it though haha! Would def recommend!
Never looked better is a fun place to find and then enjoy the atmosphere. The decor inside gives lots of opportunities to take pictures. There's lots of space to sit whether its up against the wall or under the neon signs. I wouldn't suggest spending too much time here as most of the fun is actually finding the place. The cocktails aren't original but they are good. The service is fast even when it's busy and its to your table so you dont need to wait around the bar area. Recommend stopping in and then continuing on to one of the other speakeasies in the area.
This is a TRUE speakeasy, not one of those fake speakeasy's that say they are a speakeasy, but are blatantly obvious, everyone knows where it is, and there is at least an hour wait to get in. I love that it's one way in and one way out to keep it discreet in the very active blagden alley. The bouncer is also always super helpful, asking if we know the address for the Uber and where the exit and bathrooms are. The drinks are strong and delicious and the decor is Instagram worthy. The djs are always playing the best music and the whole place is just a vibe! Located below eighteenth street lounge, the speakeasy feel is definitely there and it's never too overly crowded!
Never Looked Better is definitely a cute vibe. I prefer this location over other "secret" speakeasies around the downtown area. The staff was chill but professional, and there was a female DJ that was keeping the vibe going. The bartenders are nice too, and were attentive to my crew. The theme inside was cherry blossom and it was fun. There's plenty of bar seating and a few couches that are for reservation. The drinks are good..and strong, so just a heads up. The diverse crowd, and the mix of hip hop, house, and old school music-makes this place an excellent choice to finish out the night. The bathrooms are unisex...and are kept surprisingly clean. Highly recommend!!
This place was such a cozy and cute vibe!! Th entrance was a little hard to find, but I think that's part of the fun experience! A literal hidden gem They had couches and comfy seating in the entrance area, their drinks are pretty standard, but good! And they offer virgin mocktails! They also had a private party area when we went there that was roped off and they looked like they had a good time! I plan to come back here. Definitely the spot to hit as the first place of the night or the last one as you're winding down. Good for a girls night out, or a date night! The music was good as well! We were welcomed with good vibes and it was a great night!
My homie found this amazing place on Tik Tok and we had a blast on 2 straight evenings (Fri & Sat) here! Its tucked away in an alley kinda and there isn't a true indication that you are here lol! Doorman usually comes out and lets you in and you are greeted by some steps with a neon sign above them. Once downstairs, you're walking into some awesome music, a great environment and fantastic cocktails! Seating at the bar is usually packed, but you can grab a seat every now and then once tourists like myself leaves after a couple drinks. The standing space on the wall isnt too bad. There are areas for seating but it looks like thse need to be reserved! I mainly stuck with the Mezcal Last Word as it was phenomenal. I believe I drank 4 of them on the final night lol...was that good! I heavily recommend this place for all the reasons above. The crowd was very diverse on both evenings. We met cool locals and tourists on both nights. Looks like this place is great any night of the week. Get here!
